askgc.ai (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.
Session-level analytics (collected automatically):
- An anonymous session ID (randomly generated per visit, not linked to any account or device)
- Question topics and themes (e.g., “coding”, “technical”) — derived by keyword matching, not from storing your question text
- Which AI model you selected as best
- Feature usage metrics (e.g., whether you used image upload, replies, or @mentions)
- Question word count and complexity category (simple, moderate, complex)
- Platform type (web or mobile)
Information you provide voluntarily:
- Contact form submissions (name, email, message)
- Your question text is NOT stored. Questions are classified into topic and theme categories in memory, then discarded. The raw text is never written to our database.
- We do not require or store login credentials or accounts
- We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising
- We do not perform cross-site tracking
- We do not collect or store user agent strings or device fingerprints
- We do not create persistent user identifiers that track you across sessions
- To provide and operate the Service (your questions are sent to third-party AI providers to generate responses)
- To improve the Service and understand usage patterns
- To produce aggregated, anonymized statistical reports (e.g., “58% of coding questions preferred Model A”)
- To respond to your contact form submissions
- To comply with legal obligations
We may share fully aggregated, anonymized statistical reports with third parties, including AI providers. These reports contain only aggregate statistics (e.g., model preference percentages, topic popularity rankings) and never include:
- Individual session data
- Question text or content
- Any personally identifiable information
We do not sell personal data. We do not sell, rent, or share any per-user or per-session data with third parties for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose.
When you submit a question, it is sent to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) to generate responses. These providers process your questions according to their own privacy policies and terms. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies. We do not control how they handle data once it is received.
Session analytics data (anonymous session IDs, topic classifications, model selections) is retained for up to 12 months, then deleted. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry. Full question text is never retained — it is processed in memory for topic classification and immediately discarded.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure server infrastructure, and restricted access to data. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You have the right to:
- Request information about what data we hold (note: since we do not store question text or create persistent user identifiers, the data associated with any individual is minimal)
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of analytics tracking by using browser privacy settings or extensions
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
